PlantPals

PlantPals is an interactive AI chatbot that teaches children about plant care by role-playing as a Tamagotchi-like plant companion. It was built during the 24-hour WildHacks hackathon at Northwestern University.

As lead back-end developer, I engineered a data pipeline that collects soil-moisture data from a Raspberry Pi Pico and transmits it to a FastAPI backend, where Gemini generates science-based, kid-friendly responses.
